With little notice, Covid19 sent what seemed like the world’s entire workforce to their homes to work. (The lucky ones anyway.) With so much of the world telecommuting, it’s so important to stay connected to each other on a personal and professional level.
While some people seem to naturally be productive while working from a home office, others wonder how they’ll stay away from the typical comfort (or chores) of their homes to focus on their workload. If your team is still working from home, consider these tips to stay productive and connected.
Teamwork Makes the Dream Work.
In a time where you may be feeling disconnected from the world and your team, knowing what your colleagues are working on, or where they are on a specific project, will help you to feel connected while holding them accountable. You can do this in a number of ways, which we’ll cover.
Voice to Voice.
Much can get lost in a string of emails. Don’t be afraid to pick up the phone and have a conversation. It’s understandable that during this time you may have a pet or family member in the background. Give the person on the other end of the call a heads up that there may be some background noise. We’re pretty sure they’ll understand.
Face to Face.
The way we see each other has been very different these past few months. Teleconferencing services like Zoom have been crucial to holding meetings from the safety of your own home or office. Even a Facetime call can be beneficial. These services allow you a way to connect to not only your team but also your clients and prospective clients.
We have been serving our clients throughout this time using a variety of technology to enable us to stay connected. For many, navigating the CARES ACT, PPP (Paycheck Protection Program), and EIDL (Economic Injury Disaster Loan) has been terribly difficult. This means that now more than ever, business owners have needed to discuss important financial details with our professionals. We have been happy to have these and many other ways to remain available to anyone not able to visit our office. If you are in need of a financial professional, one of our Associates would be honored to serve you.
